As you may be aware, this past Sunday, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) issued a new emergency order restricting indoor gatherings. They did so to mitigate the rise in COVID-19 infections throughout our State. CFMC’s Leadership Team met virtually to discuss this new mandate and consider our Southern Michigan Conference’s recommendations. Effective November 18, we are suspending all in-person gatherings at our Activity Center for the duration of the MDHHS (through December 9). Cancellations include Sunday school, Discipleship Groups, and any other ministry gatherings.
After careful consideration and prayerful discernment, we determined the nature of our Drive-in Church Service allows us to meet our State’s objectives while enabling us to continue to meet safely. As a result, we will continue our 10:00 AM Sunday Drive-in Service on Jackson Rd. until further notice, weather permitting. Please remain vigilant in protecting yourself and others by staying in your vehicle during the service. Volunteers will continue to adhere to our mask and social distancing protocol.
Our Sunday school and Discipleship Groups plan to meet via Zoom. Click here for details.
Please continue to engage spiritually in prayer for our church, our community, our country, and the world. The pandemic has inflicted untold hardships on God’s people. Many are suffering mentally, especially as we enter into the holiday season. Reach out to others as Jesus speaks to you of needs. Though our doors are closed, the church is still very much alive and ministering to each other and our neighbors.
