EVENTS & REGISTRATION

CONVERSATION. CAFFEINE. CONNECTIONS.

No appointment necessary. Stop by Agricole (our community market, coffee shop, and social space near the Train Depot) on the first and third Wednesday mornings to chat about ideas to kick-start our church's revitalization effort.

Pastor Mark will be at Agricole form 9:30-11:30 AM to gather input and discuss thoughts and ideas. The morning will be part think tank, part idea incubator, all fueled by great coffee. Stop by to participate!

FAITH IN ACTION

Can Food Drive

Did you know Chelsea's own Faith In Action has become the largest emergency service provider in western Washtenaw County? Routinely, Faith in Action provides food for 100 or more households each month.

Help us stock their emergency food pantry during the month of February. Based on household income, patrons receive food to last 3-5 days, along with household supplies. Inventory often runs short.

Bring can foods to service each Sunday in February. Items needed most include canned tomatoes (sauce, stewed, diced, paste), baked beans, Manwich sloppy joe sauce, chili, coffee, ketchup, mustard, soups of all varieties, and cleaning supplies (i.e., soap, Windex, Comet).

QUARTERLY PRAYER SUMMIT

You might first think that Lent is just about giving up junk food or vowing yet again to create healthy habits in your life. Yet our self-sacrifices serve no purpose unless, by laying aside our desires, we can focus on our heart’s deepest longing: unity with Christ. In him-- in His suffering and death, His resurrection and triumph, we find true peace, hope, and purpose in Jesus. Join us for an evening of prayer to discover a much deeper (and more powerful) purpose behind the weeks leading up to Easter.

Wednesday, February 26 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM in the Activity Center.

WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY

Have you resisted, defied, or tried to bargain your way out of what you thought God wanted? You aren’t alone. Scripture documents similar stories. In this study, we will look at some of the people whose lives intersected with Jesus in the weeks leading to His crucifixion. Even though they had an agenda that put them at odds with God and Jesus, you’ll see there’s a little bit of them in all of us.

Begins Tuesday, March 3rd.  Meeting from 9:30 - 11:30 AM in the Activity Center.

AWAKENING PRAYER NIGHTS

From March to June 2020, the Southern Michigan Conference of the Free Methodist Church will have worship nights and guided prayer for awakening within our communities. This is the SMC's concerted effort to call Free Methodists to prayer. We plan to participate!

Ypsilanti FMC - March 6th 6pm-7:30pm
Renovation Church (Portage) - April 3rd 6pm-7:30pm
Dearborn FMC - May 1st 6pm-7:30pm
Jackson FMC - June 5th 6pm-7:30pm
