Many of you know the balancing act required to launch our worship center building project debt-free. We had a tight budget with little margin and next-to-nothing contingency. We stepped out in faith, not knowing how we were going to complete it. In desperation, we prayed. And we continued to pray.

On Valentine’s Day, we received word from The John C. Lasko Foundation Trust that we received a $400,000 award! This grant is undoubtedly God’s response to our plea.

There will be much to share over the next several weeks. But, first things first, we want to use this opportunity to acknowledge the miracle God worked out right here in our midst. God has chosen to show His greatness through our little remnant of people committed to unity, love for one another, repentance, prayer, and daily acts of obedience. So take a moment to let that soak in. We’ve been through a lot.

When the pandemic hit, churches had a lot of hurdles to face. Check out this  Southern Michigan Free Methodist Annual Conference 2021 video featuring the creative ideas Chelsea Free Methodist, Renovation, and 1208 Greenwood implemented.

After nearly twenty years of prayer and sacrificial giving, we are grateful to watch construction of our new worship and gathering center on our 67-acre parcel located at 11875 Jackson Rd.  Construction launched on May 30th, when we held a groundbreaking service. It included a time of prayer and thanksgiving for His provision while re-affirming our commitment to the mission He has given us.

Check back here frequently. We are adding pictures regularly as construction is underway.

Most Pressing Prayer Needs:

1.)  Quotes received to complete our driveway, asphalt parking lot, and curbing are exorbitant. We need to find a cheaper solution. Please join in praying for God to creative ways for us to reduce costs. We are desperate and He is able. Sounds like a good combination, right?

Prayer Response: Jesus is revealing possible solutions. Keep praying!

2.) We are in need of a worship director. While we have had a couple leads they have not panned out. Please join in praying for the right person at just the right time to be revealed.
