When the pandemic hit, churches had a lot of hurdles to face. Check out this  Southern Michigan Free Methodist Annual Conference 2021 video featuring the creative ideas Chelsea Free Methodist, Renovation, and 1208 Greenwood implemented.

After nearly twenty years of prayer and sacrificial giving, we are grateful to watch construction of our new worship and gathering center on our 67-acre parcel located at 11875 Jackson Rd.  Construction launched on May 30th, when we held a groundbreaking service. It included a time of prayer and thanksgiving for His provision while re-affirming our commitment to the mission He has given us.

Check back here frequently. We are adding pictures regularly as construction is underway.

Our most pressing prayer need is for God’s favor while navigating phase two of the grant approval process to secure provisions for completing our project. We are praising God that we made it past the first round!

Please be reminded to “pray always and not lose heart” as given to us in the parable of the persistent widow from

Luke 18:1-8.

  • Interior walls for the Sanctuary and Gathering area up and we are now able to envision ourselves worshiping Jesus there!

  • Underground lines for electrical hook-up are in place. The electricians made great progress installing lights and outlets.

  • Plumbing rough-in and water supply lines installed.

  • Contracts are signed for the well and septic installation. Watch for work to begin in the next few weeks.

  • Our team of volunteers installed CAT-6 cable and ethernet to audio and visual set-up.
